Greta's Bakery at Umbria Jazz Winter Greta's Bakery is glade to announce their partecipation at the most important italian jazz festival "Umbria Jazz" in December, the Orvieto winter edition for five appointments. Umbria jazz is the most popular and followed event in Italy about jazz music. This festival hosted musicians such as Miles Davis, Wayne Shorted, Bill Evans, Tony Williams, Herbie Hancock, George Benson and many many others. The Bakery will play songs from their debut album "The Edge Of Everything" and some fresh baked tunes from the new album that the band is about to record. Greta's Bakery will be performing in quartet with Daniele Mencarelli on bass and Stefano Tamborrino on drums.

"View From The Moon" Greta's new single: Greta just released a new single "View From The Moon". An interesting mix between old and contemporary music.. The song recalls the sound of the famous Count Basie Orchestra through a powerfoul brass arrangment bringing the listener 'back in the days' with the '40s stile vocal harmonies of the background vocals. The result is a refreshing mix of a sophisticated 'Euro Swing' sound and a pop kickdrum on the downbeat. Greta’s Bakery special guest Gegè Telesforo Greta’s Bakery and Gegè Telesforo will be playing together at Palafolli Theater hosted by the prestigious "Cotton Jazz Club". The charismatic voice of Greta Panettieri meets the virtuosity of Gegè. Gegè Telesforo is a singer and a multi-instrumentalist. “Descovered” by Renzo Arbore he developed an original way of the vocal improvisation. He performed with: Jon Hendricks, Dizzy Gillespie, Clark Terry, Ben Sidran and many others.

This live music club, owned by our good friend Fabio Giacchetta, is one of the most important stages you can play these days in Umbria. In fact this club hosted artist such as Joel Holmes, David Garfield, Ari Hoenig, Fabrizio Bosso, Franco Cerri and many others.
